CARBIOW joins the EUSEW 2024 in Brussels

CARBIOW project had a new opportunity to network with stakeholders in the energy sector during the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW2024), which took place on 11-13 June in Brussels, Belgium.

CARBIOW was represented by its two coordinators, Beatriz Aberasturi Serrano, from TECNALIA; and Ali Hedayati, from IVL; and by Edesio Miranda-Barbosa, representative of our partner Svåheia Eiendom AS. All three participated with a stand at the Energy Fair, where a poster about the project was displayed.

With over 2,000 in-person + 4,558 online visitors; more than 400 inspiring speakers, four impactful plenary sessions, 61 engaging policy sessions and over 50 exhibitors at the Energy Fair, EUSEW 2024 was truly an extraordinary journey. The CARBIOW project stand was constantly visited during the three days of the event, allowing our colleagues to present the project to a wide audience composed exclusively of stakeholders:

“Finding synergies with other projects and entities across the renewable energy landscape is fundamental to the success of CARBIOW. Our network enlarged due the participation in these events and potential collaborations emerged in terms of research and development, technology transfer, and policy aiming to accelerate the deployment of bioenergy solutions. At EUSEW, we could visit other stands and receive other colleagues working on similar projects. They come from academia, industry, and governmental agencies. There is the intention to create a forum of discussions to exchange knowledge and lessons learned. This can help us in the development of our projects and mitigate some technical, economic, and political barriers that we’re already facing”, stated Edesio Miranda-Barbosa after returning from Brussels.
