The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) arranged on 2nd October 2023 the ‘H2020 and HE cluster Meeting for biofuels and biomethane projects’, in which CARBIOW was present through the participation of its two coordinators, Beatriz Aberasturi Serrano, from TECNALIA; and Ali Hedayati, from IVL.
The event, held in Brussels (Belgium) was the perfect setting to gather all the professionals involved in these projects to exchange information on relevant policy frameworks for end-use technologies and fuels and to foster collaboration and synergies with benefits among all.
Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe are EU’s key consecutive funding programmes for research and innovation with a budget of €80 and €95.5 billion, respectively, throughout the period 2014-2027. They tackle climate change, help to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and boost the EU’s competitiveness and growth, as they facilitate collaboration and strengthen the impact of research and innovation in key areas such as biofuels and biomethane.
“It was very inspiring to meet and talk to the coordinators of EU-funded projects in the field of biofuels and biomethane, and to learn how others are trying and advancing in new technologies”, stated Ali Hedayati, Technical Coordinator of CARBIOW, after the meeting.
