CARBIOW results were presented at the International Conference on Chemical Looping (ICCL2026) took place at the University of Manchester from 31 August to 4 September 2026.
Marc Siodlaczek, from Technische Universität Darmstadt, presented results from oxygen carrier aided gasification (OCAG) of wood pellets in comparison with chemical looping gasification at 1 MWth scale.
The results come from experimental work carried out within CARBIOW at the Institute for Energy Systems and Technology (EST) of Technische Universität Darmstadt, led by Prof. Bernd Epple.
